 My Old EX250 Here is my old 250, I rolled it out of the garage today, cleaned her up and I might sell it. IDK? I dont know if ted wants it or not?
but anyhow, here are some pics. enjoy...

Re: My Old EX250 im going to work on this thing tomorrow. I got some deisel and a chain and I am going to work really hard on this. I got a battery too.
do you think I may be able to charge the one that I have? any how, my goal is to get this thing running tomorrow.

not sure.. depends on how old it is and how long it's been dead, if it is.
the longer it's been drained, the harder it is to pull it away from "the light in the tunnel" it sees.

Re: My Old EX250 so I followed whitey instructions and fixed the thermostat and Tach. Everything works and appears to be accurate.
Its moving right along now.
next one the list is new battery.
install new levers.
new tires.
install brake pads, front and rear.
Fluids, change/flush.
Valves check/adjust-.
I gotta go through the carbs one more time, I need to make sure I have the jets really cleared out and a possible re sync.
it will get there in time though...
after all that I will do a thorough detailing and she will be completly brand spanking new!

Re: My Old EX250 Damn pipe, have you ever owned a bike that wasn't GREEN!  Nice tablecloth too, I bet Diane Lane likes it. Talk about mint, you still have the warning stickers on it! My bike has an ever so slight discoloration on the tank from where the octane sticker was on. Very clean and nice looking bike otherwise. I didn't know you even had a 250!

yeah I was a little squidling once and just never bothered to take the stickers off. Yes, I started small, even smaller with my first bike as a little 100cc RS100, Yamaha. I just that away to Tim actually. Any how I climbed the ranks of bigger CC's one bike at a time. I kept the 250 cuz my brother always wanted it and I want to give it to him but I dont think his wife will let him. Its on of those things where you really want something that was really nice to you go to a good home and be respected like you once did.

she starts right up! I rode her around town the other day, did about 12 miles and had a good time.
all I have left to really do now is the tires, which I have just ordered, and the valve adjustment.
I havent done the brakes yet cuz I still got plenty of brakes left, though I will do that in the next few weeks anyways.
so yeah, bike is basically done. She runs really good now. idle is good, starting is good, powering through the rpm range is good.
im going to give her a real nice detailing in the next week or so and she will be completly show room looking.
